Science Museum, London, 1:48, Third Rate 74gun HMS Warrior (1781) Scale: 1:48. Contemporary Georgian model of Warrior, 74 guns. Photographed out of case. Model has a few bits of wear and tear, but the painted frieze is very detailed, and in an unusual range of colours: seems to be a 'moonlit' kind of appearance. The garlands painted across the beakhead bulkhead are replicated on the underside of the stern gallery, which I think is unusual. Continua . . |
